Outdoor Garden Tables
Having furniture outside to relax on is great, but there are certain materials that just don’t work too well. Of course, in order for you to determine what kind of garden table you would like, you would have to take the size of your garden into consideration. Even if you have a fairly small garden, you can still have a nice table where you can go to relax with a book after having a hard day. When looking for the right table, you are going to want something that will be protected against weather conditions and that will last you a long time. Some of the choices you have when it comes to materials are; textaline, metal, hardwood, teak and cast iron.
Of course metal, cast iron and textaline are the best to use so it doesn’t get messed up by the rain, but remember that too much rain can cause it to rust too. Garden tables should suit the rest of the garden, whether that is determined by the style of the tables or the color. Metal will get hot during summer and cold during winter, but there are always lovely tablecloths and placemats that can be used on the table. The same thing with the chairs, but these should have cushions on them anyway or else they won’t be very comfortable to sit on.
If you are looking at garden tables in wood, they will be finished with a sealer that will protect it against most weather conditions. Even though this is the case, you might still want to put the table under cover or just cover it with plastic when the weather gets bad. This will help to keep the table looking good for longer, but it is not compulsory that you do it. Wood garden tables also seem to have a more sophisticated appearance in the garden, especially if you have a large garden with lots of trees and flowers. But then again, wood is better to use if you have a cemented or bricked area to put it on, instead of grass.
Although wood is quite heavy, metal garden tables are a good idea if you have a problem with strong winds where you live, especially if you have a swimming pool in the garden. Which ever type of garden table you choose, remember that you should still use a tablecloth regardless of the material of the table. This will protect the table from everyday mess and damage as well as weather conditions.
There are plain tables available in all the different types of materials, but there are also more decorated ones available. Choose the table that you like best, but also the one that suits the layout and contents of your garden. There are also lots of different designs, sizes and colors to choose from when you are looking for the ideal table to feature in your garden. Some come with matching chairs and some come without, you make the choice. Just make sure the chairs look good with the table and don’t buy too many chairs so they don’t all fit around the table.
